Who we are.

Eraa (U.K.) Ltd decides how the personal data described here is used, which makes it the controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). It is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection.

When you contact us.
If you email us or send an enquiry through this site, we receive your name, your email address, your organisation, a phone number if you give one, and whatever you tell us about your heat network.
We use this to reply to you, to call you back, and to discuss possible work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: we need this information to answer the enquiry you sent us.
When you visit this site.
This site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your internet protocol (IP) address and basic details of your browser so it can deliver the pages and keep the site secure. Cloudflare also counts visits for us without using cookies. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: running a working, secure website.
Analytics, only if you accept.
If you accept analytics cookies, we use two tools to see how the site is used so that we can improve it.
- Google Analytics records the pages you view, roughly where you are, and the kind of device and browser you use.
- Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and can replay a visit as a recording.
Our lawful basis is your consent. Neither tool loads unless you accept, and we have set both not to use advertising cookies. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Change your cookie choice now
Cookies.
A cookie is a small file that a website saves in your browser. This site sets analytics cookies only if you accept them.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| eraa-consent | This site | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we do not ask on every page. It is saved in your browser's storage and is not a cookie. | Until you clear your browser's site data |
| _ga and _ga_BNWXWX1HWT | Google Analytics, if accepted | Tell one visitor from another, so visits and pages can be counted. | Up to 2 years |
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity, if accepted | Holds a Clarity visitor number and settings for this site. | 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity, if accepted | Joins the pages you view into one visit. | 1 day |
| CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID and SM | Microsoft, if accepted | Set by Microsoft on its own web addresses when Clarity loads. Microsoft uses MUID to recognise a browser across Microsoft sites. | Set by Microsoft. See Microsoft's list of Clarity cookies |
Clarity also keeps a temporary value called _cltk in your browser tab, which is removed when you close the tab. Cloudflare may set a cookie that is strictly necessary to keep the site secure.
Who we share data with.
We use a small number of companies to run this site and our email. They process data on our behalf.
- Cloudflare, for hosting and security.
- Google, for Google Analytics, if you accept analytics cookies.
- Microsoft, for Clarity, if you accept analytics cookies.
- Our email provider, for the emails you send us.
Some of these companies process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised in UK data protection law.
How long we keep data.
- Enquiries: for as long as we need them to reply to you and to keep a record of any work that follows.
- Google Analytics: data about individual visitors is deleted after 14 months at most.
- Microsoft Clarity: recordings are deleted after 30 days unless we mark one to keep, and all Clarity data is deleted within 9 months.
Your rights.
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit how we use it, and object to our using it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. We do not make decisions about you by automated means.
To use any of these rights, email sales@litra.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
