A useful first email looks like this.

If you're thinking about a piece of work, a short paragraph on the network helps us come back with something useful, rather than asking you twenty questions over email. Where we find it helpful:

• Roughly how many properties on the network, and how many networks if it's a portfolio.
• The general setup, energy centre type, bulk metering, AMR or manual reads, billing system.
• The specific problem you're trying to solve, in your own words. The shorter and plainer the better.
• Any timing pressure, for example, a tariff review date or a board paper deadline.
