Litra Consulting has been working in heat metering and billing since 2012. We are based at Enterprise Way in Burnley, Lancashire. Most of what we do is for social housing providers and the ESCOs running their networks, quietly, under NDA, for clients who would rather their data stayed sensitive.
What we are.
We are a heat metering and billing consultancy. That is the whole of it. We do not do procurement. We do not run plant rooms. We do not write strategy decks or sit on transformation steering committees. There are bigger consultancies who do all of those things very well, and where one of them is the right answer we'll happily say so.
Where we earn our keep is in the bit between the energy centre and the bill. The data layer that tells you how much heat you generated, how much you delivered, how much you billed, and where the gaps are. The discipline that turns a six-monthly tariff review into a defendable number rather than a hopeful one. The conversations that turn a high-consumption resident into a fixed leak rather than a complaint.
Who we work for.
Mostly social housing providers and the ESCOs that run their heat networks. A handful of private network operators. Occasionally the energy supplier sitting behind a network. We work in the UK only.
Most of our clients run portfolios of district or communal heating schemes, anywhere from a few hundred properties to several thousand. The work tends to start in one of the three areas on this site, residents, operations, or network, and pulls in the others.
Why this site is light on proof.
Our work is bound by NDA. We have not asked clients for case study permissions and we have not used their names in marketing. There are testimonials we could put on this page, with consent, and over time we may. But the operators we work with hire us partly because we do not parade their billing data across LinkedIn, and we would rather keep it that way.

Litra is part of the Eraa (UK) family of brands, a separate legal entity under common ownership. The other brands in the family are mostly in manufacturing and consumer goods; Litra is the only consultancy.
